Sizefriends, it’s been a while, hasn’t it? Here we are at the twilight of one year and the birth of another, so let’s talk about both years and what they mean to me.
The first thing I have to mention is that 2017 was the first year that I’ve spent fully “out,” so to speak. It’s been amazing being myself, dressing how I want and going to work and the grocery store and everywhere else in stilettos and stockings and skirts. It’s still very much an adventure every day, but it’s amazing personal progress that continues to excite me.
I was also a part of SizeCon II, and that experience was just as spectacular and uplifting as the first in its own unique ways. I talked about it some here but the best part was definitely getting to spend some personal time with people I’ve only really known online and building friendships. It looks like a third event will be coming this year and I absolutely can’t wait.
For my writing, I focused almost exclusively on the awesome partnership I’ve had with SorenZer0 this year. We released “Katie, Episode 5” and “Beneath,” along with “A Gift for Two,” an awesome 360 VR image story that’s totally free. I did put out a couple short stories of my own, “Awakening” and “Pressure”, but I want to do more.
I’ve made the call to start this new year exclusively focusing on my own work. S0ren and I have done incredible work together and made some the most exquisite and captivating media out there, and I’ve been fortunate enough that many of you were captivated enough to support me by purchasing our work. It’s been tremendously helpful to have some extra income over the past few years, the time’s come for me to work on building something of my own.
Here are my goals for 2018. I’m going to set weekly word count writing goals to keep constantly producing. I’m going to finish at least one of my currently in-progress novels, and release at least one story a month for everyone to enjoy.
I want to get into voice recordings, too. I did some theater work in school and have a talent for dramatic reading and dialog. We’ll have to see how it goes, but it’s something I want to experiment with.
It’s not going to be easy to replace the sorely needed income from my collaborations as I start out this year, but I’m hoping for some help to get things going. For those of you that love what I create and are willing and able to help me create more, I’ve launched a Patreon and hope to make it a rewarding place for my supporters. I want it to be a place where I can share and discuss my projects as they’re coming together and get feedback for building better content and improving a corner of our community. I’m also launching a Discord server along with this, originally to be used for special Patron-exclusive events, but also, ideally, to build into a healthy place for anyone who enjoys the same sorts of things I enjoy writing about.
These are, of course, some very new things that I’m exploring and I’m very open to suggestions and feedback. The goal for all of this is to create an environment that’s rewarding to everyone involved, and whether you help by becoming a Patron, sharing, offering feedback or purchasing my work, I’m forever grateful for you and what your support means for my life, my writing and my family.
Thank you for everything. Let’s do something excellent together.
